about me
I started studying Design in 2013 following my passion for craft, art and my interest in technology, hoping I could combine both in the future. I began with a Bachelors in Product Design at the FH Aachen in Germany learning the basics of Industrial Design. Due to my interest in developing my skillset aside uni, I tapped into the field of electric mobility in the research and consulting space of the technical university RWTH. Starting as student assistant for Product Design I helped visualising the future of mobility and automotive assembly in close collaboration with engineers and researchers. Over the time of my bachelor’s, I got to work on several projects with German automotive OEM’s and helped start-up’s in developing primo-type products and vehicles.
Having a raising interest in human-centered design processes and consumer electronics I interned at Noto in Cologne in 2018. I got the chance to work on projects with international brands and broadened my skillset for agency-based design work. Until graduation I continued working in the mobility area and started a design consulting business. Some of the people and contacts from this time I can call clients and partners up to this date.
On a camper-van trip through the Lofoten islands I fell in love with Scandinavia and decided to apply for the product design master program in Umeå, Sweden. The years before, the school was a huge inspiration for amazing design work and project relevance, so I was very grateful for being able to start there in 2019.
I spent the last years in Sweden and Norway studying and interning in various places. At Propeller Design in Stockholm I had alot of project ownership, establishing a close collaboration with a new client and guiding a projects design process. We created a brand in the field of audio equipment and developed three devices for an initial product portfolio.
At Laerdal Medical in Stavanger, Norway I deep dived the medical world helping to create tools and learning modalities of tomorrows nursing education. Focusing on conducting primary research and qualitative interviews with partners around the globe, conceptualizing new solutions for learning experiences in the complex and stakeholder rich environment of nursing.
In my free time you will find me playing guitar and exploring the endless realms of looped guitar tracks or see me running / hiking through the nature of Scandinavia.
